The East African Community (EAC) has become increasingly dependent on use of ICT to carry out its mandate. In this context, the EAC envisages that success in achieving its mission and the goals stipulated in the Development Strategy, as well as those of its Organs and Institutions, depends on well-designed and managed ICT resources. For this purpose the EAC has developed an EAC Corporate ICT Policy to guide its operations. Based on this Policy, the Civil Aviation Safety and Security Oversight Agency (CASSOA) has customised and developed its ICT Policies and Procedures Manual.
