CASSOA engaging Aviation stakeholders across the region
4th April 2019. EAC CASSOA Team has just concluded four missions in Partner States aiming at engaging Aviation stake holders on the matter of Agency’s sustainable funding mechanism. Republic of Burundi was the first country to host CASSOA Team followed by the Republic of Kenya, United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic of Uganda. Republic of South Sudan and Republic of Rwanda will be the next countries to be visited by the team. (more…)

Examination pool of expert meeting concludes in Dar es salaam.
1st March, 2019. Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority hosted a team of experts in Dar es salaam – Tanzania for a two weeks meeting. The meeting was organized by EAC CASSOA with experts from member states in attendance. The team was tasked to review; automatic validation of PEL Project, ATC, FCL and AMEL questions, ATC syllabus and input from EASA, B1/B2 licensing system and also among others upload reviewed questions into EAC examination system. Working group meeting to review the model EAC civil aviation regulation
18th Feb, 2019. EAC CASSOA organized a joint Working Group meeting of AVSEC experts, Legal Experts and Drafts persons to review the harmonised Civil Aviation (Security) Regulations in line with provisions of ICAO Annex 17. This meeting was opened by Ag. ED Mr Philbert Bakilana and is expected to run for five days. (more…)
