23rd January 2026. Notice is hereby given of The 73^rd East African Community Civil Aviation Safety and Security Oversight Agency Board Meeting scheduled to take place on Friday, 20^th February 2026 at 0900 hours EAT in Entebbe, Uganda.

About CASSOA Board:

The Board is established under Article 7 of EAC CASSOA Protocol as the governing body of the Agency. Members of the Board are 1) The Chairperson 2) The Heads of Civil Aviation other than the Chairperson 3) One Aviation Expert from each Partner State 4) The Executive Director

Seamless Skies: Efficient Facilitation for a Connected World

03^rd March 2025. The ICAO Facilitation Regional Forum took place in Yaoundé, Cameroon, from March 3rd to 4th, 2025, under the theme “Seamless Skies: Efficient Facilitation for a Connected World.” The Agency was represented by Mr. Philbert Bakilana, the Principal Aviation Security Officer (PASO).

EALA committee visits CASSOA

06^th March, 2023. East African Legislative Assembly committee on Communication, Trade and Investment visited the Agency on March 06^th 2023 here in Entebbe – Uganda. This as part of committee’s oversight activity to assess the progress made in the enforcement of safety and security matters of aviation in the East African Community. (more…)

Centre for Aviation Medicine hosts CASSOA Board Meeting

18^th November, 2022. The 60^th CASSOA Board meeting was held in Nairobi Kenya on 17^th of November 2022. The meeting was attended by Director Generals of Civil Aviation from EAC Partner States and a Regional Director of ICAO ESAF office based in Nairobi, Kenya. (more…)

Another training under EU-ASA Project!

28^th February, 2022. The Agency in partnership with European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) organized a training of inspectors on Specific Approvals. A five days training session was attended by a total of 19 participants from CASSOA and partner states. (more…)
