Now, as airports across the region prepare to reopen, it is vital for the safety of both staff and passengers, that all involved in the aviation industry are trained and well versed in how to deal with COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. EAC-CASSOA OPERATIONAL ACTIONS IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The rapid spread of Novel Corona Virus 2019 (COVID-19) across the world has been attributed to human mobility across countries, largely driven by air travel. Needless to say, many of the confirmed COVID-19 cases in the EAC region have also had a history of air travel. It is important to note that some airline operators are based in or transit through the East African Community Partner States, and operate direct flights into the affected Region. (more…)

M/s Emily, Employee of the year!

18^th December 2019. As we mark the end of the year, in an effort to appreciate good work the Agency recognized M/s Emily Bukebuke as the employee of the year. The Principal Human Resources and Administration for CASSOA, Mr Charles Rukikanshuro handed over a certificate to Emily on behalf of the Management. M/s Emily Bukebuke has been working with CASSOA for the last two years as a Procurement Assistant. (more…)

“I found a better CASSOA than the one I saw”, Says Sen. Judith Pareno

29^th August 2019. Four Legislators from the Senate of the Republic of Kenya made a visit to EAC CASSOA offices on 27^th August 2019. Senator Pareno Judith, Senator Enoch Wambua, Senator Chebeni Mercy and Senator Gona Zawadi who are members of the committee on National Cohesion, Equal Opportunity and Regional Integration had a one day visit to CASSOA aimed at understanding what the Agency does and benefits Kenyans and the people of East Africa can draw from the works of the Agency. Sen. Judith Pareno said, “We are basically on a mission to understand our Institutions and see what we can do as Legislators to make our Integration smooth”. (more…)

Republic of Kenya takes over chairmanship.

26^th August 2019. Captain Gilbert Kibe is now the Chairman of the EAC CASSOA Board, during the 47^th Board meeting held in Zanzibar between 15^th and 16^th August 2019 Mr. Hamza S. Johari (DG TCAA) handed over the chairmanship to Director General, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority Capt. Gilbert M. Kibe. (more…)
